How we got engaged

After a summer full of busy weekends and traveling, Megan was looking forward to a laid back weekend in Fort Worth with Grant.  Little did she know, that weekend would become one of the most eventful of her life.  Grant had suggested that the two go wine tasting in downtown Grapevine and then have dinner at a little Italian place down the street from the winery.  After a couple of wine flights, it was time to walk to the restaurant for dinner.  Grant insisted that Megan sit down on a bench on the sidewalk to take a picture.  It was the same bench that Megan had taken a picture on a few months before when she and Grant were out with friends.  After he took the picture, Grant got down on one knee and asked Megan to marry him.  She said yes!  The gorgeous ring that he gave Megan was her great-grandmother's engagement ring from 1920.

In the excitement, Megan proceeded to call her family and closest friends, but no one answered their phone.  Grant convinced her to go on to dinner and that everyone would eventually call her back.  But when they walked through the restaurant door, Megan got the sweetest surprise of her life.  Standing there to celebrate the moment were 40 people - all friends and family of the couple that were in on the surprise.  Good thing she said yes ;)
